Silver Metro

Went to Silver Metro for a party,the place is amazing with totally a different look.The unique thing about the place is that it looks exactly like a Metro train,with comfortable seats,an engine driver and many such things to impress.No doubt,there would have been lot of hard work and pain behind designing the metro theme.To add more reality to that,there are vibrations which u can feel when u sit there,simulating the train effect.They have a wide variety of dishes,veg and non veg buffet,which is reasonably priced(around 300 bucks).Variety of starters,soups,desserts and u have lots of options to choose.The taste is good and Kids will enjoy more b'cos of the Metro look and feel.In addition,they provide good Customer Service too.

A dream called IIT

That is what an 18-year-old has shown in Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh. With not enough to eat, and no money even to burn the midnight oil, in a village with hardly nine hours daily power supply, the boy managed to secure 453rd rank in the IIT entrance exam. However, he has won only half the battle yet.At Garikapadu village in Khammam district, the IIT entrance rank holder, Narasimha Rao, is a labour under the National Rural Employment Guarantee scheme.With the daily wage of Rs 80, Narasimha wants to repay dues for borrowing books from a reference library.
Even at work, his thoughts revolve around science."When I am working in the field also, I think of questions in physics. I just can't understand how these mobiles work? How the waves travel?" says Narasimha.
Narsimha's mother Lakshmi can't tell what exam her son has passed but the labourer parents say their son has made them proud."My boy said he would buy me a gas stove to cook after he gets a job. I know he is grown up now. My eyes burn when we burn wood," says Lakshmi.
Narsimha managed to get coaching in an IIT institute in nearby Vijaywada with the financial support by some elders in this village. Now the 18-year-old has to attend counselling at IIT Madras on June 18, for which he does not even have travel expenses.
"After I am settled in life, I promise to pay back the money. I will be so thankful," says Narasimha.

Food in the Cafeteria

I have heard that the food in our cafeteria is so bad.My colleagues who are yet to get married or married guys whose wives are unwilling to cook food for their hubbies(vice versa) in the early morning hours,don't have any other option other than to fill their stomach with the cafeteria food,however bad it may be.Thank God,i don't have the problem,since i take homemade food everyday.Today morning,while having breakfast in the cafeteria,we saw a group of boys sitting in front of our table.They were 5 of them and were seriously immersed in eating food from a single tiffin box,brought by one of them.It looked like they have been craving for good food for so long.This shows the quality of food that the caterers are providing.People are ready to pay a handsome amount for getting quality food,but still the caterers are trying to make profit out of that,by providing cheap sabji,watery rasam,which look literally like plain tamarind water.Inspite of all the complaints raised to the management,they are sitting dumb to all these happenings.If the complaint reaches the senior management,then they change the caterers.The new caterers on getting the contract start providing good food for a week or so.U can see a long queue in the cafeteria once the new caterers take charge.But this will go on only until the management confirms them.Once they are confirmed,then they too kick start with the same old procedure.Why don't people understand their duties and act accordingly? If everyone begins to do his duty with utmost perfection to his knowledge,then noone will have a complaint to raise against the other.Will we get a chance to see such a transformed INDIA?

Who's gonna win

Who said that there are no new job openings in the market? I updated my profile in one of the famous job search engine recently,and was flooded with calls from consultancies and recruiters.Almost 2o-25 calls on a single day.Every person who called me was telling me not to give my consent to anyone else,other than theirs.Tired of handling the phone calls,i had to finally switch off my mobile.I know it's not the right time to look out for a change.It obviously makes u feel happy with the hike that u will be getting there.But r u gonna be safe?If once again, due to global meltdown,they start firing on a last in first out basis,then u r gone,for sure.

One of the consultancies have even gathered the interview questions from people who have already given their interviews and say that they will be forwarding the questions to us,if we are willing to go with their consultancy.

Another consultancy told me that they will be sending the job code and reference number and asked me to go with the first come first serve mode,even after i told them that i was not interested and have given my consent to somebody else.Good marketing strategy,huh!!!

Now i seriously do not know who is processing my CV.A total messsss altogether.

Impact of job change

A taxi passenger tapped the driver on the shoulder to ask him a question. The driver screamed, lost control of the car, nearly hit a bus, went up on the footpath, and stopped centimeters from a shop window.   

For a second everything went quiet in the cab, then the driver said: "Look mate, don't ever do that again. You scared the daylights out of me!". 

  

The passenger apologized and said, "I didn't realize that a little tap would scare you so much." 

  

The driver replied, "Sorry, it's not really your fault. Today is my first day as a cab driver - I've been driving a van carrying dead Bodies for the last 25 years....... 

Superstitious world

We just shifted to our new house in JP Nagar last week. It all went well, and we are getting accustomed to the new place.On Sunday, I caught a high fever all of a sudden with shivering cold.I am taking medicines but still the temperature is fluctuating,coming down and going up…As I woke up today morning,I asked the maid for a coffee.I didn’t get out of my bed and she immediately started giving me advice that I should wear a scarf while going out,blah,blah..The height of her ignorance was when she said that “there is some problem with the house.The day we came here,we are getting one or the other problem.”I literally blasted her for living in a world of superstition.In this 20th century,its really shameful to see people with such superstitious beliefs..
